Quadrant Insurance is a proud sponsor of Shiwon Green

Shiwon's Bio:

ED nurse Shiwon Green is a relative newcomer to the dressage scene, converting from the jumping disciplines just 6 years ago when she purchased her current Grand Prix horse, Gosh. At the time she was just looking for a horse to make the step up from Novice to Elementary. She really liked his suppleness and electricity but never imagined that spark would take them all the way. After much persuasion from her trainer, Bill Noble, last year Shiwon & her family (husband David and two kids Harper, 9, and Clive, 6) moved from Canterbury to the Waikato in order to be closer to both training & competition, a move that has paid off. Shiwon & Gosh finished last season on a high with a 4th place at the Horse of the Year show in Hastings and their Platinum Award for acheivement at Grand Prix level. And the exciting thing is that there is much more to come.

Shiwon update - Jan2011

They have been named on the International Development squad and will be commencing the 2010/2011 season with two International shows in Sydney & Melbourne. Shiwon also has a 7yo with International bloodlines, Da Vinci, that is currently competing at Level 5 and who she is sure has a huge future ahead of him. Shiwon is grateful to have been supported by Quadrant Insurance Group for the past 4 seasons - they give her the peace of mind to strive for her goals.

Shiwon & Gosh have returned from a campaign to Australia that exceeded all expectations. They rose to the challenge and mixed it with the top Australians including Olympians and World Cup competitors with two 6th placings in the Australian Open at Equitana and a 7th at the Pacific League Final of the World Cup in Werribee where they were invited to compete after their previous good results - earning their Silver Fern in the process.
They're not resting on their laurels; instead they have come back with the knowledge of what they must do to be competitive at that level and are working towards that and performing well at Nationals and Horse of the Year.
Shiwon is also busy with Da Vinci - working towards some starts with him this Autumn and the intention of bringing him out at Prix St Georges level this winter. He will be competing at some local shows shortly but will probably sit out Nationals and HoY this year. Also keep and eye out for the 5yo 'Bruno' who will be commencing his competitive career very soon. A fun & striking looking boy, Bruno will be easy to spot in a crowd!
