This policy is designed for all equestrian & sport horses from aged between 1 – 12 years, but on Underwriters agreement may be renewed until age 16 years
Cover
• Death and destruction on humane grounds resulting from an accidental external , violent & visible injury or death and humane destruction directly or indirectly attributable to colic -
excluding all other losses directly or indirectly attributable to any other lameness including tendon & ligament injuries, illness or disease
• In transit within NZ only
• Veterinary Surgeon Fees - Major costs of veterinary fees associated with an external violent injury or colic to a maximum of $5,000 or 50% of Sum Insured in the aggregate in excess of $1,000
• Theft and unlawful removal
• Removal & Disposal costs up to $500
• 90 day extension clause
• Operations clause additional premium for non life saving operations
• Agreed value
We cover all disciplines: Showing, Hacking, Pony Club Activities, Breeding, Schooling. Pleasure, Farm work, Dressage, Endurance, Western Riding, Driving, Showjumping, Hunting, 3 Day Eventing
Excluding
Polo & Polocrosse, Miniature Horses
Any horse which has previously suffered &/or been treated for colic symptoms
DECLARATION OF HEALTH IS REQUIRED FOR EVERY ANIMAL EXCEPT :-
Veterinary Certificate requirements:
Sum insured $50,000 and over – a satisfactory 2 Stage Veterinary Certificate
IT IS IMPORTANT THAT WE ARE ADVISED IMMEDIATELY SHOULD YOUR HORSE FALL ILL OR SUSTAIN ANY INJURY
