FMG & Quadrant
In 1905, a small group of pioneer farmers, concerned about rising insurance premiums, got together and formed the first mutual association for farmers in New Zealand. FMG, as we’re known today, is proud to be one of the few New Zealand owned and operated insurance companies around.
Quadrant Insurance Group has been insuring bloodstock for over 25 years, providing speciality equine protection solutions. Quadrant products have been developed by people with proven insurance industry experience and a strong understanding of the equine and livestock related businesses.
With similar values and complementary products and services, FMG and Quadrant worked alongside each other for several years. In July 2011 the partnership became permanent when FMG purchased Quadrant making it even easier for clients to get everything they need in one place.
Bloodstock & livestock insurance
In all bloodstock & livestock insurance there are some important features you should be aware of.
- The policies are usually for a 12 month period and are NOT automatically renewed
- The majority of policies cover your animal(s) if it incurs an injury or illness and needs to be put down for humane reasons.
Also
- The policy does not cover pre existing conditions and all animals must be in sound health at inception.
- The policy does not automatically cover operations unless they are required to save the life of the animal.
- We should be always notified of any injury or illness immediately.
